Show Format
Friday
will consist of seminars and demos for both makers and collectors. The Expo will
open on Friday at 12 noon with a one hour preview of knives for registered VIPs. This
one hour time period will give registered VIPs time to preview
the knives that will be available for sale when the Expo show opens to the
public. Once the preview time expires the door will open to the public and
all
knives will be available for purchase. The evening will end with a fine
banquet for the makers and collectors alike.
Saturday
and Sunday there will be no preview. When the doors open at 10 am all remaining
knives will be available for purchase.
If you have
any questions regarding the format please contact us at knifeexpo@gmail.com.
Bladesmithing
Seminars
The
2012 Expo
will begin Friday at 9 am with a great line up of seminars. You can come learn
different aspects of knife making and have your questions answered by some
outstanding bladesmiths.
Collectors should
consider attending these seminars to gain a better understanding of the knives
you collect. Anyone thinking about going for their journeyman or masters
rating can get first hand knowledge of what the judges will be looking for.
For all interested in
making knives or collecting them there will be something for you. More
information about the seminar schedule for the 27th of January will be posted as
it becomes available.

Collectors
Corner
All
EXPO attendees are invited to participate in our Collectors Corner. This is a
great opportunity to meet other collectors and forged
blade enthusiasts.
The Collectors Corner will be
available between
4 pm
and
6 pm
on Saturday for collectors who wish to participate.
Each collector can bring up to 3 knives made by ABS Smiths to
display, sell or trade. Since 1976, the forged
blade and the ABS have been bringing people together and we hope this
Collectors Corner will be one more opportunity for you to experience this
fascinating art form and enjoy the friendship associated with it.
